Stem week was an amazing week of learning to keep you busy AND learn more about the world outside. I learnt about how to code, how to make experiments work, the most important parts of electricity, and how to eat popcorn, but mostly, I learnt how to do teamwork and how to adjust in different places. I learnt how to be self managing when I was doing electricity and playing hard electricity games so I did not get distracted, I learnt how to be flexible and adapt to the differences around me, I learnt how to be connected and do teamwork and share ideas while getting them back, I was creative and built a good creation even though it didn't work, and I was reflective and asked my friends feedback on what I did well, what I could have done well and how. My favourite was measurement, because we ate popcorn. I thank the teachers for working hard on putting this week together and I hope they enjoyed it too. Kind regards, Ananya LAHOTY
I agree with Ananya stem week was wonderful ii learnt how to make bags with the help of my friends. I was connected when i made machine to hit the can or make electricity with Amelia. I have learnt so much from Stem week. I have learnt to be more of a Self-Managing student by focusing on my work and not getting distracted by others even if it was individual or groups. I was a flexible learner by being reasonable and responsible when there are changes. As i said before i am more of a connected learner because i learned to work with people who aren't my friends and cooperated. Now i am more of a curious leaner because i thought hard and deep about the electricity activity and the technology activity i got included and thought of questions that were deep not question like who invented electricity? Questions like where was electricity first found.I was a creative learner because in coding i was creating different character solving puzzles and so much more!I learnt so many different things like coding and technology! I loved steam week and i think the whole Nikau team did too.
Stem week has been a very helpful week for me and now I am a self managing, connected, creative, reflective, flexible and curious learner and I strive to learn more. Ananya LAHOTY
Wow! Room 15 your STEM week looked really fun! Room 23 has enjoyed seeing your learning on the blog. We are wondering what engineering activities you did as part of stem week?
